Once in a while, you’ll find someone you really click with. You’ll feel like you have real chemistry with that person, you’re compatible and maybe, just maybe, the two of you could be more than just friends. So, one day, you muster your courage to tell them your true feelings. This will definitely work, you say. They’ll definitely say yes, you say.
And then they go ahead and say no.
Woops, apparently all that you felt was one-sided. Welcome to the friendzone, hope you enjoy your stay. While the term “friendzone” is a fairly recent invention, it actually has been around since time immemorial. Before the advent of the internet, people simply call it unrequited love. Nonetheless, it’s not an unpleasant feeling and no one likes getting friendzoned.
Now how would you know if you are getting friendzoned? Half the time it’s actually rather obvious if you are able to put your feelings aside. They’ll be talking about the person they like or their crush (who is not you), they’re not always there for you and everything that you do is “cute”. You’ll probably be talking about them to other people and they’ll probably give you ample warning anyway.
But let’s say it’s not obvious or that just want to make sure. Here’s where you can use QiMen Forecasting. The Useful God or focal point for this sort of forecasting would be the Geng Stem, the Yi Stem and the Six Harmony Deity. The Stems represents you and the person you’re interested in (Geng for guys, Yi for ladies) and the Six Harmony represents the relationship.
If you’re a guy, for example, and you see the Geng Stem’s palace is being countered by the Yi stem palace, chances are she’s not interested in a relationship with you. As a matter of fact, take note of where the Six Harmony is. This situation is further exacerbated if the Six Harmony produces the Yi stem palace while the Geng Palace counters it. (Remember, if you are a woman, you’re the Yi stem here!)
The best thing to do is to be honest. Make your expectations clear from the get go. You can’t expect to have a relationship in the first place if you can’t be honest, can you? 😉
