Dealing with an Emotional Crisis

How to identify an emotional crisis and what to do when you are stuck in an emotional rut.
You wake up in the morning and all of a sudden, you are overcome with anger, sadness, depression, fear or anxiety for unknown reasons.
You are tired, demotivated and struggle to deal with even the simplest activity in your daily routine. You dread leaving the house and meeting people. You feel utterly helpless and you couldn’t find a way out from this emotional black hole.
Going through an emotional crisis can make you feel like you are a crazy person. However, know that this is simply one of the ways your brain is processing suppressed emotions. Most of us experience emotional crisis from time to time as we are too busy with life, we forget to take care of emotions.
Just like our physical health, our mental and emotional well-being are equally important, yet often get neglected. Sometimes it’s difficult to find time for yourself, while some people are used to ignore their feelings and stressors, hoping these emotions will just dissipate on their own. However, these unaddressed emotional problems would most possibly accumulate and then result in emotional crisis.
It may be hard for a person to realise he or she is having an emotional crisis, but with Qi Men Dun Jia Forecasting, you may be able to find signs of an emotional crisis through a specific configuration – Geng Metal is found together with the Great Moon. The Great Moon signifies hidden information and also strong emotions, which could be a warning of an emotional problem.
What to do when you or your closed ones are going through an emotional upheaval? Here are a few tips on how to overcome an emotional crisis.
1. Go easy on yourself
An emotional crisis is a normal reaction to painful circumstances, and it could take some time for these emotions to pass. Anyone going through an emotional crisis should not beat themselves up when things don’t improve as fast as they or others expected. Take it easy on yourself and don’t be overly hard on yourself in trying to live up to others’ expectations as to how they think you should react.
2. Share your feelings
An effective way to get out of this emotional black hole you feel like you are stuck in is fairly straightforward – reach out. Share your feelings with people who are close to you in order to open up a channel for support. Talking with someone helps you to organise your thoughts. Having someone to listen to you can also lighten your emotional burden and make you feel a lot better.
3. Get professional help
When you feel like things are going out of your control, do not be afraid to seek professional help. Sometimes an emotional crisis could snowball into something unmanageable, and it is advisable to get professional intervention. Don’t give up when things go a little out of hand. Have faith that with help, you will get better and the situation is going to improve.
Remember, going through an emotional crisis is a normal process for us to deal with unaddressed emotions. While it can be overwhelming, you have the power within yourself to get out of the emotional black hole. Most importantly, be patient with yourself and have faith. 😊
