Dreams have always been an enigma that science is still debating over. It is a point of contention as to whether what we dreamed about is just the result of an overworked mind blowing off steam or our subconscious trying to tell us something. QiMen Dun Jia does have its own say in this topic.
Science vs the Mystical
Dreams have been a point of contention in science. We know they happened when we undergo Rapid Eye Movement or REM sleep. But the reason we dream is still up for debate.
Is a dream merely an exaggerated version of what we have experienced during our waking hours? Something that left a deep impression in our mind it simply has to be unloaded from our psyche during our sleep? Or is it our subconscious trying to tell us something?
When we are awake, our lives have become so infinitely complex that we deliberately tune out the one gateway or line of communication we have to the universe. Maybe dreams are the only way the universe is trying to maintain that connection to us and guide us on the path we are supposed to take.
Mystical Doors of Dreams
The name QiMen Dun Jia when directly transliterated means Mystical Doors Escaping Technique. It implies that QiMen leans more towards the mystical approach. We do need to understand that mystical here does not mean magic nor miracles but more the metaphysical kind of mystical.
QiMen Dun Jia and in particular Spiritual QiMen, promotes the method of establishing a line of communication between us and our spiritual self which is in tune to the messages and energy from the universe.
Therefore, in the parlance of QiMen, dreams can be one way the universe is communicating to our subconscious and may be prophetic about events yet to happen. QiMen Forecasting can be used to interpret such dreams.
It’s All About the Snake
When applying QiMen Forecasting to interpret dreams, the Surging Snake which is the one deity related to the occult and the spiritual, should be the Useful God or focal point of the forecasting.
The QiMen chart above was plotted the morning after a peculiar dream. Unsure of what the dream implies, QiMen Forecasting may be able to tell more about it.
In this chart, the Surging Snake deity resides in the Li palace. To interpret the dream, the Li palace has to be the focal point for this forecasting.
The Li palace has a positive formation and it also contains the auspicious Rest Door and Heavenly Ambassador star. Even the Heavenly Stem is the Yi stem which is one of the three Nobles of QiMen Dun Jia.
All these indicate that the dream is a good omen denoting auspicious outcomes. Good tidings or events should be expected in the near future.
The meaning of this auspicious dream can be interpreted as an upcoming change or ‘rebirth’ in one’s life or career due to the presence of the Rest Door. This change will be a good one as it promotes growth and progress as denoted by the Heavenly Ambassador star. The relationship between the Yi stem and the Wu stem in the palace further indicates that this may involve some form of traveling for the Asker.
Other Indications
If a QiMen chart shows results which are the opposite to the one above i.e. the Surging Snake palace has a negative formation or negative Doors, Stars and Stems; then the dream being interpreted tends to be one of bad omen and inauspicious tidings.
However, if the Surging Snake palace of the chart is entering Death and Emptiness, it suggests that the dream may be meaningless and does not have any important indication for the future of the Asker.
So, what do you think about this mystical side of QiMen Dun Jia? Do you have any strange and interesting dreams you want interpreted? We would certainly like to hear from you regarding this article or any feedbacks you might have. Just drop us a comment in the Comment box below.
Until next time, I do hope you have a good night’s sleep and rest. Sweet dreams.
