So Many Fake News

Forecasting Which News Is the Real Deal

The internet has brought progress in the dissemination of information. However, the protection of one’s identity by the computer and phone screen also allow the irresponsible few to make up and forward any news without fact checking. Let’s see how the ancient art of QiMen Dun Jia can help solve this issue of the information age.

Responsibility Taken Lightly

The internet has really been a driving force in the information age. Today any news can become big news. With just a click of the finger supported by a million other clicks if people think the news is newsworthy enough and in a blink of a second it would have gone viral.

Although having news and information delivered around the globe in an instance can be viewed as progress and a positive thing, rarely does one stop to think first before they click on the button becoming part of the ‘word of mouth’ spreading the news.

Stop to think about what? Most of us might ask.

The legitimacy of the information we are helping to pass around globally, of course. The protection offered by the computer screen or the phone screen in safeguarding our identity means we tend to take our responsibility for granted. What was posted on the internet and social media may not necessarily be the truth.

Sifting Through Fake News

In a world of information overload, fact checking and sifting through so many fake news to find the legitimate ones can be a hassle. In certain circumstances, we are so devoid of background information it is virtually impossible to ascertain if a news is legit or not.

In cases where you are unsure of the legitimacy of an information or news forwarded to you, the sensible thing to do is to keep it to yourself and avoid sharing or forwarding it to others. In this way, you won’t be a part of the nasty chain letter if the news turns out to be fake after all.

Many a reputation has been ruined unnecessarily by fake news and information. Some paid with their own lives. It is our moral responsibility to be able to stand by what we post or send out every other day. QiMen Forecasting is surprisingly a method that may be able to help in this area.

QiMen the Truth from the Fake

QiMen Forecasting can be applied when we want to determine if an information is fake news or not. The Useful God or focal point here is the Scenery Door. Let’s plot a QiMen Forecast chart to find out.

The QiMen chart above was plotted for the day and time a questionable news was received. Take a look at which palace in the chart the Scenery Door ends up in?

It is the Li palace which has now become the palace to focus on. To determine if the news is fake or true, we have to see whether this Scenery Door palace also contains one of the three nobles, namely the Yi, Bing or Ding stems.

As you can see for yourself, not only does the Li palace contain the Ding stem, it also contains a positive formation to boot. This makes it highly probable that the news received is genuine. This is further reinforced by the timeliness of the Li palace.

Other Results

What about fake news? You might be asking. Easy. Now if the Scenery Door palace matches one or all of these criteria then it is highly possible the news you are checking up on is fake: the palace is entering Death and Emptiness; the palace is untimely; and/or the palace contains the Black Tortoise or Red Phoenix deity.

What if the Scenery Door palace does not conform to the aforementioned criteria and also does not contain any of the three nobles? Then the news or information received is probably a little bit of truth mixed in with a little bit of lies.

So, what do you think about this surprising capability of QiMen Dun Jia? Aren’t you glad Donald Trump and his supporters don’t know QiMen Dun Jia? If they do, they won’t be decrying fake news left and right 😊
