The War of Dark Gods II: Nine Heaven VS Red Phoenix

In one corner, we have the Red Phoenix. Deity of Culture, God of Debate, it is one of the most powerful Deity in terms of actualization. Whatever it speaks, it creates. This deity’s motto is simple, words have power. In the other corner, we have the Nine Heaven. Known as the Old Father, it is associated with visions and boundless potential of the future. Its powers are similar to the Red Phoenix; if this deity can see it, it would happen.

So, what would happen when Red Phoenix says it will be the winner and the Nine Heaven already have seen his victory? Let’s find out.

STRENGTH

In terms of strength, the Red Phoenix has tenacity. Like a phoenix that can rise from the ashes over and over again indefinitely, they will always have the last word. Those who channel this deity can argue until the cows come home. In a QiMen chart, this deity is only present during the first half of the year as it shares the same space as the Black Tortoise. As such, in a way they can be Tortoise-like as well by manipulating others through the influence of their words.

Nine Heaven’s strength is tied to the power of imagination. While the mind is capable of unlimited potential, it depends on how one uses it. Someone who is very unimaginative might not be able to make full use of this deity while certain individuals who can visualize concepts beyond anyone’s wildest dreams would be able to use this deity’s ability to its fullest. Aside from that, they also have the power of foresight, allowing seasoned Nine Heaven wielders to see glimpses of the future.

WEAKNESS

Just as their strengths in turning ideas into reality are similar, so are their weaknesses. For all the powers they possess, it is for the best or for the worst. If a Red Phoenix says something negative, then negativity shall be realized. If a Nine Heaven imagines the worst-case scenario, then the worst thing that possibly could happen would happen. Such is the price to pay for an easily accessible skill.

VERSUS

In a battle of endurance, it would be a stalemate. While the Red Phoenix rarely if ever be at lost for words, Nine Heaven has laser-like focus locked onto the future they wish to create. The Red Phoenix might try to influence the Nine Heaven with their speech, its opponent can neutralize this effect through the power of foresight. When you can anticipate everything that might come your way, nothing can hurt you.

One key difference between these two deities is their alignment. Red Phoenix is considered to be one the Dark Gods and thus have no qualms in spitting venom or twisting the truth in order to win. Nine Heaven on the other hand has a high sense of moral and cling on to ethics. Thus, while both sides would do whatever it takes to win, Nine Heaven is less on the offensive compared to its dark foe.

RESULT

Again, we have another stalemate if both Deities are giving their best in an ideal circumstance. In reality, who wins depends on one important aspect; emotional mastery. Powerful as their powers may be, it’s highly volatile. It can work for them or against them depending on how they are feeling. Thus, the one who has a better grasp of emotional mastery would be the winner. For those who have either of these deities as their Guardian of Destiny, be the master of your emotions.
