Where Do I Go From Here?

Beat the career crossroads by peering into your Door of Destiny.
Most of us will make a number of career decisions in our lives.
In Asia, our life path is heavily influenced by our parents, family and society as a whole. Our job isn’t to think about our path—it’s to succeed on the path we’ve been placed on by these people. We are moved to study a certain subject or go down a road that may not have been our first choice. A typical career will take up somewhere between 20% and 60% of your meaningful adult time and therefore it is crucial that you spend it well.
This article isn’t going to give you career advice but rather a framework on how aspects of QiMen can help you make career decisions that actually reflect who you are, what you want, an where you may fit in.
If your door of Destiny in your natal chart sits on the Rest Door, you are the type of employee that is responsible and knows when to pull their weight when need be. You’re naturally pretty laid back and have an agreeable personality – making it easy to talk to you. You are loved by employers and employees alike and is most likely to be voted most dependable around the water cooler.
You lead by example and aim to inspire those around you by motivating them and showing them that even in tough times there is always a shining star. On the downside, it is easy for a Rest Door individual to fall into pattern of being too critical of others while also being hard on themselves.
They may fall into the trap of being to self-righteous and may feel the need to translate that to those around them. If you are a Rest Door individual you gravitate more to the area humanities. You may see great success as a counsellor, nanny, nurse, doctor or perhaps even a guidance counsellor.
